Pipeline Association for Public Awareness (PAPA) promotes open communications and cooperation with local organizations to enhance public safety, improve emergency preparedness, protect the environment and prevent damage to property. PAPA works with and supports state associations comprised of pipeline operators that are dedicated to promoting pipeline safety by providing information for excavators, state residents, businesses, emergency responders and public officials in each specific state. See below for links to each state association in this region.
National Pipeline Mapping System: The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Office of Pipeline Safety developed this system to provide information on transmission pipelines to the general public. Printable maps can be obtained by ZIP code or by county and state. For information, go to www.npms.phmsa.dot.gov.
